DEVELOPING AND EXTENDING RELATIONSHIPS
Policy makers are not as familiar with the clinical research industry as they should be, given our size and impact. ACRO, in partnership with our member companies, hosts a series of discussions with government officials around a range of topics that are crucial to our industry. These roundtable events:
- Raise the profiles of member companies and their value
- Enable candid discussions about policy and practices
- Strengthen ACRO and industry-wide collaboration
2018: A FOCUS ON BREXIT
In 2018, ACRO convened policy makers at three events, focused on the UK and the unique perspectives of the clinical research industry. Our discussions examined how to strengthen UK leadership in clinical research, Public-Private Partnerships, Brexit concerns & opportunities and more.
ACRO’s Clinical Research Roundtables resulted in a series of six policy recommendations to address current research challenges in the UK, with solutions that position the country for future successes that can be shared by all stakeholders. Those policy recommendations were presented to Lord O’Shaughnessy.
